Me: Ugh, why isn’t my pizza done yet? Mom: It’s been in for three minutes. Just wait. Me: I DID MY WAITING! Mom: Oh, god, not again. Me: TWELVE YEARS OF IT! Mom: Every time. Me: IN AZKABAN!
I need to pull that line out next time I’m told to wait for something

Bank Holiday biznatches!
OK,
So it’s another bank holiday, we get like 123 this year in England don’t we? Feels that way anyway.
Loved it. Definitely what bank holidays should be made of.

I know you’re all wondering, so I’ll come out with it!
All through my childhood, I had a recurring dream that the downstairs of my house was on fire. This is not the frightening or disturbing thing. When the fire engine turned up - slightly human looking foxes emerged from it and started shouting and crawling into the house. The I’d wake up. Talk about a cliffhanger!

Hellooooooooo
It’s been a while, but here I am.
I’ve had a mega busy fortnight at work, gazillion hour days and loads of prep and follow up. I love my job, so it’s all good (and mighty fulfilling), but no time for things like blogging and tweeting, and knitting! (Man, I miss full days of nothing but knitting)
I have a whole evening tonight where I can do whatever I want.
I have chosen to...
Watching Sherlock season finale for the gabazillionth time.
I think I’ll leave it there, and most likely reblog a few things, every day, until I get the box set for my birthday.
oh, ps. I don’t love it as much as HP jussayin

Seriously considering buying a new copy of each Harry potter book, so I can have my old ones to annotate and highlight (like the fe-reak I am) and one to remain sacred and fresh.
Also, some of the earlier Harry Potter books are started to turn yellow paged and are developing that book smell - I am so happy right now. When I’m old and my grandkids (who aren’t allowed to handle these...
My day.
First assembly today!
I had my first assembly today, as part of my job (I work for @TheChallengeUK) It was sooooo nervewracking! I was worried I wouldn’t make sense, or that the young people just wouldn’t be interested. Luckily, they were a good year group, payed attention adn lsitened, but weren’t afraid to laugh/gasp at the relevant points (it would have been even more nerve...

Back from a few days in the big city (London) for work training.
Had a great time, it was cool catching up with the London and Manchester staff members we met before Christmas, and great to meet new staff from all three offices!
On the second evening, four of us went for a little walk to see the sights. We did get lost, but hey, we got to speak to some great, and hillarious police people, who...
A Study in Scarlet
For Christmas, I treated myself to the first in the series of graphic novel adaptations of the fantastic Sherlock Holmes books.
I loved it, the story was so well adapted and the graphics fitted the style of the novels so much, even though it’s not the style I usually enjoy that much.
I absolutly can’t wait to get my hands on the next one - once I get through the humungous pile of...
Ahhh 2012

Kate update time
So, I saw Tinker, tailer, Soldier, Spy the other day.
It was aesthetically great, I loved the subtle grain on the whole thing, the sets, outfits. It was really well acted, I especially liked Benedict Cumberbatch’s character.
I just, you know, didn’t really enjoy it. At first I thought, maybe I didn’t ‘get’ it, but I did get it. I just didn’t care. I...
